Joe and Max Weiland are versatile screenwriters and directors with the ability to fuse humour, tension and surprise. Their work has a darkly comic, intriguing sensibility.
Joe is known for Gorka (2023), Marion (2024) and The Witness in Love (2008). His films have been honoured with several distinctions.
Max directed a short film ‘An Arm’s Length’ (2016), Elton John’s ‘Tiny Dancer’ the first official video for the iconic ’70s track, ‘Life is more interesting when you listen’ a dramatic series for Audible. More recently, ‘Riding is the Answer’ for Rapha, ‘Prep for All’ for Sperry and ‘Educate’ for the relaunch of BBC3, featuring Chabuddy G of ‘People Just Do Nothing’.
